Carlos and Oscar are opposites in many ways but share drive, professionalism, and a knack in carpentry. Born into the dessert city Chihuahua Mexico. The Valverde family saw the grand opportunities to be had in America. The family established themselves in Breckenridge, Colorado where the brothers grew up. Their partnership began, as boys, when Carlos would help his older brother Oscar apply finishes to his wood projects. Years later the brothers got a job together at a small carpentry shop installing wood floors. There they learned the trade skills of wood flooring and it became clear they both had a passion in carpentry.

Leading into the Great Recession of 2008, the carpentry shop struggled and could not promise a future for the brothers. But this gave them the push to fulfill their life-long dreams to start a carpentry business. Despite the risks of starting a business during a recession, in 2007 Carlos and Oscar opened the doors to PSI Wood Floors. The daunting task of getting there name out in the market became easier as they received new work from customer referrals. From the pleasant and hassle free experiences to the excellence in workmanship. The brothers proved they could run their dream.

Today the brothers are a team and continue to learn from each other. Oscar is the creative genius, whose desire is to perfect each job. Carlos provides the practical know-how, business connections and customer relations. Together they’re committed to satisfy each project and take the time to explain their services to each customer. They stay up today with the latest hardwood flooring trends, equipment and knowledge. They have hired extra staff, bought a company truck and purchased the finest industry equipment that reflects their attention to detail. Carlos and Oscar couldn’t have done it without each other.
